This is a Game Without Master, its engine is the revolutionary ttrpg Swords without Master by Epidiah Ravachol. Rather than copious dice rolls, lengthy combats and inventory bean-counting, this engine is laser-focused on what’s most important - putting our adventurers in the most perilous situations and seeing how they survive, challenging them with mighty deeds to accomplish, and building out their world as they travel it.

Sessions of Overboard are played out in a string of sequences, each one designed to inspire different narrative strokes within the ongoing story. Drama! Heists! Escapes! Duels! Tall tales and Old Ghosts! At the beginning of each session, players challenge each other with great deeds for them to accomplish and, by achieving these, players earn renown, allowing them to shape the wider setting itself.

Stories of Overboard revolve around misfit crews of true companions - each heroic in their own way, their adventures together in pursuit of their dreams, their faithful allies and their implacable foes.
